Present law provides that the Louisiana Military Advisory Council consist of 19 members.

Proposed law increases the membership of the council to 21 members, by adding the following members:

(1) The chair of the Senate Select Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs, or his designee.

(2) The chair of the House of Representatives Special Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs, or his designee.

Effective August 1, 2026.
