Present law requires the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB) to adopt rules to provide for the establishment of a list of persons who are to be excluded from any room, premises, or designated gaming area of any establishment where gaming is conducted pursuant to a license or contract issued pursuant to the provisions of present law.

Proposed law requires the LGCB to adopt rules excluding those persons who, before, during, or after a sporting event, threaten violence or harm against any person who is involved in the sporting event, where the threat is related to sports gaming, or whose presence in a retail sports book or whose participation in the play or operation of mobile wagering in this state is determined by the board to pose a threat to the interests of the state, to achieving the intents and purposes of present law, or to the strict and effective regulation of sports wagering.
Effective August 1, 2026.
